*Bulk Updating Credit Customer’s Status via .csv Upload

  • Active Credit Customer(s)

Overview

fissara MOVE offers you the ability to bulk update your credit customers via the use of a .csv file import into the system. This is designed to integrate with SAGE Management Software however as long as you use the provided template you’ll be able to upload your data seamlessly. This document serves as a step-by-step guide to bulk updating your credit customer’s status.

Solution

  1. In your MOVE environment, expand the Reports menu item by clicking on it
  2. Click on Data Upload Centre to navigate to the next page
    1. (Optional: click on Download Template to instantly download a copy of the layout you need to use to complete the upload)
  3. Fill out your details as necessary taking into consideration the account number, credit limit, account status and outstanding balance of your customers
  4. Once you’re happy with the details in the spreadsheet, click on Choose File to open your local drive browser and find your edited spreadsheet file
  5. When you’ve selected the correct file, click on Upload File to complete the process

Notes

  • Account Number uses the account number you’ve set for a customer. (This number can’t start with 0)
  • Credit Limit is the spending limit for that customer, and is entered as a number
  • Account Status is how you want their credit to appear on your system when making quotes. The statuses typically available are: CREDIT_OK, PENDING, ON_HOLD, and WITHIN_10 (For within 10% of their limit)
  • Outstanding Balance is the amount of money the customer owes you currently, which is entered as a number

You can fill in the details for multiple credit customers at once by starting new lines. If you make a mistake when uploading the form, it will allow you to download the Error file, which will show you which lines have problems.
Typically when a customer pays the money they owe you, you would update their credit account by uploading another form with their new outstanding balance.
